"There
are liars, damned liars, and then there's the Nashua Police." |
I, Fred Mitchell, am a citizen of
the United States of America. I was born here. I grew up here. I pay taxes
here. I have a family here. I am a law-abiding citizen. I have never committed
a serious crime. Why then do Anthony Pivero
and Eric Nordengren think otherwise? Why did they treat me like an
animal that night they arrested me? Why did they trump up two charges
against me -- both false? Why did they do this to me? Especially since I
did no wrong?
Pivero and Nordengren refused to engage in conversation with me on that night, April 23 of 1999. They just -- and very curtly, I might add -- demanded that I come outside with them -- that I leave the restaurant-full of potential witnesses so that they could feel free to do to me anything that they wanted to do and get away with it. They did not treat me like a law-abiding citizen of the United States whom, the last time I checked, is supposed to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. I was not given the chance to say anything. They slapped handcuffs on me and put me in the squad car. I am not in any obligation to speak to the police. I could've told them to go away and leave me alone. But I did attempt to engage those two in conversation. I asked them one simple question that they refused to answer. "Why are you here? What did I do wrong?" Do I not have a right to know what it is that they want before I go ANYWHERE with them? Is it OK for them to just grab anyone that they want without cause and arrest them? What kind of police are these? Police that hold the respect and honor of the community? Or rogue cops off on a cowboy mission? Now, let's address this -- let's say that they did treat me as a human. How would the dialog had gone? "Hello mister. How are you? Is this your family? How are they? Having a nice dinner out?... Could we speak with you for a minute in private?" Now, if they had chosen that approach, I may have and probably would've gone out with them. Indeed, I would've suggested it myself that we step outside for a chat. But that is NOT how they approach me. The dialog went like this: cop: "Step out side with us." myself: "Why are you here?" cop: "Just step outside with us." myself: "No. Tell me why you are here first." cop: "Step outside with us." ... Now, why in a million years should I step outside with two police officers taking that approach and attitude? Would you? Or would you stay firmly in your seat until they stated their reason and purpose? Would you leave a restaurant full of potential witnesses to go out in the dark with these two cops, where anything could happen and not a witness in sight? |
| Now, Pivero, from what I
understand, is a real piece of work. This is Nashua's Finest -- rogue cop!
I have gotten tipped off from a number of people who have been in this
city for a while (I've only moved here 2 years ago) that this man has a
shady record as a police officer:
http://www.state.nh.us/courts/supreme/opinions/9812/pivero.htm There was even an attempt to fire him once, but it was unsuccessful -- darn unions! So apparently he feels free to go marauding through the streets of Nashua and falsely arresting anyone he likes -- or pepper-spraying them to death. It was quite a sight to see this police officer tell bold lies through his teeth on the witness stand. It was so surreal hearing him tell his lies about what I did. He claimed I used profanity, which is completely false -- and none of the other witnesses the state called (6 in all) could corroborate his testimony -- with the exception of his pal, Nordengren, of course. Pivero also runs and is president of the Nashua Police Patrolman's Association: Now, how hypocritical can you get? A rogue cop trying to smell like a rose? This so-called association of his bears deeper investigation. Perhaps the other members of his association are just as corrupt as Pivero is. They are: Kevin Collins - VP, John Yurcak - Secretary, and Kevin Girouard - Treasurer. Why oh why do they wish to be affiliated with a character like Pivero is anybody's guess. Lately, it has come to my attention that Pivero is no longer with the NPD. No information yet on what exactly happened to him. |

What do I say about this officer
-- another one of Nashua's Finest? It would seem that he's been getting
a few commendations lately for smashing internet rings and arresting
gamblers and the like, but what is really going on here? Is it possible
that he is pulling the wool over the eyes of many of his compatriots? He
is just as much of a liar as his buddy Pivero, and also gave me a surreal
experience while he was on that witness stand. It would also appear that
the Nashua Police really like him, for they promoted him to Dective sometime
after the incident, dispite the fact he lied under oath in court. And to top
things off, he has recently caused trouble for me, as far as I can gather,
because of this one web page about him. In a very revealing tone, he uttered "Nice Website!"
more than once to me. Draw your own conclusions. I need not say more.
Can it be that if you get enough people to like you, you can get away with anything? Or perhaps the Nashua Police Department is too Neanderthal to see what they have on their hands here? Perhaps there is a "sweep it all under the rug" attitude? Don't know, but I'm going to find out. And this website is going to become a bit nicer!

The City of Nashua |
We have all heard about the LAPD
and NYPD where the police routinely plant evidence, falsify testimony, and
shoot unarmed civilians. Are we becoming something far worse than the
former Soviet Union? Would Hitler look upon our "Great" Nation
with pride? Would Orwell have a coronary? And most importantly, does
anybody care?
Are Pivero and Nordengren hell bent on turning Nashua into a little LAPD? Nashua was the Number 1 city to live in a few years ago -- which was part of the reason I chose to live here. If we allow Pivero and Nordengren to get away with giving false testimony and trumping up arrest charges, we allow them to bring this otherwise beautiful city of Nashua one step closer to a Los Angles or New York. We citizens of Nashua must send a message. We must not rest until the likes of Nordengren and Pivero are removed from the police force. They must be fired, point blank, and any police which also engage in nefarious unfair, and unethical practices. We must kick out the rogue cops and foster a spirit of honor and integrity among those that remain. Only then can we rest assured that Nashua will not go the way of the LAPD and NYPD. |
