Nashua Police Patrolman's Association
The Nashua Police Patrolman's Association represents Officers
of the Nashua Police Department below the rank of Sergeant regarding conditions
of employment. The goal of the Nashua Police Patrolman's Association is to
provide the most effective law enforcement and cooperation between the members,
the Nashua Police Department, and the Citizens of Nashua we are sworn to
protect.
The Association is chaired by a four member Executive Board

Assisting the Executive Board are stewards assigned to each
Bureau of the Department. The Steward position acts as a liaison between the
Executive Board and the general body.
Association News
- The Nashua Police Patrolman's Association sponsored a blood drive for the
American Red Cross on July 16, 1999 at St. Joseph's Hospital, 172 Kinsley
Street, Nashua as part of a continuing effort to maintain a partnership with
the community. There is a tremendous shortage of blood supplies and we are
encouraging as many people to donate a pint of blood.
- 1999 Scholarship awards were given to Randy Gagnon, who will be attending
Trinity Pawling School. As well as Melvin Sparkman who will be attending
American International College in September, 1999. A $1,000 scholarship was
presented to each recipient at the annual awards banquet held at Nashua High
School.
- On February 22, 1999, the Nashua Police Patrolman's Association
contributed $500.00 to Officer Ronald Lavierge of the Merrimack New Hampshire
Police Department in order to assist him and his family after a fire damaged
his home.
- The Association presented a microphone/speaker system to the Nashua Boys
Club, Nashua, New Hampshire, to assist them in presentations as part of our
annual contribution to the youth of the City we serve in.
- Officer Jack Gallagher retained Attorney Edward Stuart to litigate his
workers compensation claim that he was denied from Risk Management. Attorney
Stuart prevailed in his argument to a hearings officer and Jack Subsequently
is receiving the benefits he is entitled to get. Congratulations to both of
them for their efforts.
